Analysis and Connections(artistic reference)

 Camino a casa 

I made mi reference first because I choose that book according to my personality and for knowing what kind of illustrations are, also I liked a lot because is a book with a hidden message for kids so when you read the book after the people tell you the real story you probably wouldnt find the message, so is not direct, for that reason I liked. The illustration are very guessed right.

David Manzur

He was born in 1929 in Neira, Caldas. An Artist of Colombian nationality that from  a small age  was attracted by the arts, he studied in "Escuela de Bellas Artes" in Bogota, in the Art Students League of New York and in the Institute Pratt of the same city. Nowadays it lives and works at Bogotá and is recognized by his beautiful murals. His technique is based principally on the human figure by the constant evolution of his work and by the use of topics as the horses and the still life  and has not been influenced by any other artist, so it is unique. Undouptedly he is a Latin American artist who through his paintings  reflects his unique and individual style as one can identify them quickly. It has been placed in the first row of Colombian artists and as one of the Latin Americans of  aseptic realism. I can say that in fact he painted a still life where we are taught colonization since his paintings are sober and of an ancient time in Colombia.
