Poema "¿Quiénes somos?"-Maria Paula Fonseca

La brisa de allá no tiene comparación,
pero ¿Dónde es allá?, en la frontera entre el sufrimiento y la felicidad.
Dónde por fin fuimos libres, dónde somos quienes somos,
Dónde yo opino que todos seamos diferentes, donde no nos juzguen por ser diferentes.
¿Y cuál es este lugar? Es un continente lleno de cultura llamado Latinoamerica.

¿Pero cómo puedo transmitir esto?.
Por donde mejor lo sabemos hacer,
¿Acaso reconoces a Gabriel García Marquez o a Jorge Luis Borgues?
Entonces sabrás que si somos importantes,
que sí sabemos ser originales.
Por medio de la literatura hemos dejado huella.

Hemos sido maltratados pero nos hemos levantado,
Somos más que un continente reconocido por su pobreza,
somos una raza nueva, llena de fauna y flora.
Una mezcla entre dos mundos.
Somos Latinoamericanos desde nuestras raíces.

Voy a conectar:

Estas dos materias, para mí están conectadas por que estamos viendo cuán importante son los dibujos y las artesanías para los indígenas en Latinoamérica. En arte estamos viendo muchas pinturas relacionadas con la identidad Latinoamericana.

Para los indígenas la parte artesanal es muy importante para ellos ya que por que por medio de este se pueden comunicar sin dificultad por su idioma; es decir expresar su cultura por medio de arte. El significado de arte es: "Un conjunto de producciones del ser humano realizadas con fines expresivos para representar a través de medios como la pintura, la escultura, la arquitectura, la literatura o la música, diferentes series emociones o sentimientos." según un diccionario.

La bandera Wiphala expresa para mi las reglas nacionales y internacionales dentro de Latinoamérica que todo buen indígena debe tener y saber. Esto los representa a ellos y aunque no te des cuenta esta bandera está presente entre nosotros, incluso acá en Bogotá (está en una estatua cerca al museo el chicó.) Esto para el arte es importante por que podemos observar que este mismo está entre nosotros en el arte urbano. y en cualquier otro arte: artesanías, pinturas etc.

Antes me preguntaba: ¿Cuántas personas hubo antes de mi?¿De que países vengo?¿En verdad soy única?¿Si me llego a mudar a otra ciudad y estuviera trabajando me conseguirían el remplazo en 24 horas? ¿Porqué como así hay de personas trabajando, así hay de personas desempleadas, cómo puedo ser única si se supone que soy reemplazable?. Son preguntas que te ponen a dudar o no?,  Pero cuando al fin entiendes que ser latinoamericano es ser una mezcla de los españoles, afrodescendientes , indígenas y hasta más. Que estas tres diferentes razas formaron una sola. Entiendes que desde ese momento se creo el primer ser humano diferente a otras culturas, y por diferente me refiero a : tener rasgos faciales y corporales distintos a todos ellos; es decir una nueva raza , nueva religión para nosotros (católisismo; aunque fue impuesta), nuevas culturas, tradiciones, organizaciones sociales etc. Pero entonces en ese momento entiendes que sí eres única,  que hubo muchas generaciones detrás de ti (sufrimiento = colonización), que tal vez eres la mezcla entre mínimo 2 países y más, que nunca serás reemplazable por que ninguna  persona en este mundo es exactamente igual a ti, nunca tendrán tu físico, ni tu adn, ni tu misma personalidad por nada del mundo.


La identidad latinoamericana no hubiera sido la misma sin los indígenas, por eso somos lo que somos, en perspectivas sociales veíamos la constitución de todos los países en Latinoamérica y la verdad no entendía muy bien el porqué de esto. Ahora lo vengo a entender, la constitución es la parte más importante de un país por que o si no primero no hubiera reglas y esto sería un caos y segundo si no se tiene esto, tal vez lo más posible sería que los indígenas ya no existieran, y si no existieran nuestra verdadera identidad latinoamericana es decir la original, ya no estaría. Es decir se habría perdido del todo nuestra identidad originaria.

Reflection of art

What have I learned?

I have learned that with creativity, inquiry and production you can create an artwork, by this I mean choosing a conflict = colonization, intended outcome = what do I want to transmit, Technique = what is the technique that I have to use and how to approach it well, my proposal = to transmit my intention, my conflict, my hidden message, the colors (bright and in the other middle sober) my painting itself. References: To guide me with interviews and other sources for the work to be nicer. And my concept: why do I choose my conflict.

How has the interdisciplinary helped me ?

The interdisciplinary helped me in a lot of ways because now, I appreciate more who I am, because before I always made this. I compared everything in Latinoamérica with Northamerica: this is better than that, Why we cannot be this way? and many more things. Now I appreciate more this continent, because now I know were do I come from, I know my roots, I know who I am.

How has it made difficult for me?

Sometimes it was difficult for me because I didn't find the connection between some subjects but I had to analyze and be conscious of everything and in that moment I had an open mind. an advice I give other people, be open minded and creative.

At the beggining of this trimester I didn't knew I have a lot of nationalities in my past that's something I learnt in english, that behind me there are a lot of ancestors of different nationalities that had joined and created maybe new races, when you heard about it that caused on me a little emotion, by this I mean that I am unique in all the world from the ancestors and even from the future people that will come in a future, very close future, I am Maria Paula Fonseca and no one in this world can replace me, because no one in the world will have my racial aspects or my personality or my religion in just one person I AM UNIQUE and I love to know that, that boost me to be an important person in the world. That's was Spanish. Now imagine the indigenous in Colombia, Now imagine as it would have been if they wouldn't be there I probably wouldn't be here talking to you, actually most of us wouldn't be here, because we need them to be now a days who we are, is evident that our race, religion and political system changed because the Spanish conquers us, but our identity did not dissappear, it just changed-Perspectivas sociales. Art influenced a lot in our identity, but why? because we express ourselves by many ways, but one of them is by art, I definitely love art, actually when you go deeper in one subject you discover  a lot of things, but in this trimester I found that the taking of Latinoamérica influenced in our paintings: David Manzur ( express himself by horses and dark backgrounds = colonization) this means : transferring the message by a direct or not direct way, by the colors = sobber or bright colors, its shades,  its shapes, by lines, by expressions in peoples face, by many things.You can create an artwork taking into account these aspects and being creative; learning how to understand how everything in the world is like that: managing you everything. BE UNIQUE and you will leave a great mark.

Technique

Aquatint with background texture:

1. File and burnish the edges of the plate and cover them with masking tape.












2. Spray some hairspray.






3. Draw with the car wax and brush.



4. Burn the plate on the copper sulfate mordant.




5. Clean the wax and ink the plate following the same process for the drypoint.
