Connection between english and spanish
These two subjects are connected for me because in English we are talking about the colonial tourism and how people do not respect the culture of other people, and in Spanish, we are talking about who we are, why do we have these racial aspects and where do we come from.
The colonial nation tourists act like if they haden't seen different people, they see them as savages, but actually the individuals that think that, are more savages than us. We have talked about where do we come from and this is very related with the question: Why people tell us savages? We are the product between the spanish people, the indigenous, and black people. This means that this made another race, with a different culture, different racial aspects, different ideals, different ways of government(which was imposed) but different of the previous one. This began to form us as a different society, I think since that moment we passed from savages to civilized, was when the gods that had the Indigenous were restored by the Catholic religion, architecture was also and not to mention culture, these and many more things were changed. That's why I say that since that moment we aren't the same community, our identity was torn out of one way or another. We are not savages, We are just different people, who constructed their indentity differently.
So when we talk about identity this includes who we are phisically and also in a emotional way for example; one person from the U.S.A is going to be different from one person from Colombia. But why; because our cultures are different, our facial aspects are different, we think differently, and the fact that in Latinamerica are underdeveloped countries make us different. Here in South America we appreciate more the little things than in other countries, we have to work hard to get little things and the fact that the tourists come here; for example when tourists go to Cartagena and start taking photos of everything is annoying for the ones who live there, maybe for the tourist is interesting but for them is not; like they are doing their jobs, and then these people come every 5 minutes for a photograph.
